A democratic country will necessarily be characterised by free and fair election. India is a multi party Democratic country which is governed by representation of peoples act. In a recent review petition filed by the Indian government against supreme court order banning convicted persons from contesting the election government has Declared that it is a clumsy act. Now the question is what has the government been doing so long. The parliament did not bother to review the act for so long. The another view is that the moment an act is adverse to the politicians the act becomes clumsy act.
